SPM AND ASSOCIATE SPONSOR KECO COATINGS TEAM UP FOR 2016

Indianapolis, IN – May 6, 2016 – Schmidt Peterson Motorsports (SPM) has re-signed long-time team sponsor KECO Coatings.

KECO Coatings, which supplies coating processes to high performance industries, has sponsored SPM owner Sam Schmidt since he began his career as an IndyCar driver in 1997.

“KECO is an extremely important sponsor because their relationship with me goes all the way back to my first year of driving an IndyCar,” Sam Schmidt said. “They continually work to improve their product and what they deliver to us on the coatings level.”

KECO relies on feedback from SPM to research, develop and further improve its coatings process. KECO’s application of data gathered from SPM’s teams is used in pistons, exhaust systems, wheels, suspension components, gearbox housings and race equipment.

“Sam’s highly successful Indy Lights program, which has won seven championships, has been particularly satisfying in terms of seeing KECO’s technology at work on Sam’s winning cars,” said Mike Klinge, president of KECO Coatings. “We have been happy to continue our relationship with Sam and SPM with their entries in both Indy Lights and the Verizon IndyCar Series.”
