Frequently Asked Questions

We often receive similar questions when interacting with our customers – so we would like to provide a portion of our website to list out some of our more frequently asked questions.

  1. Do we sell Teflon or any other coatings?

No. KECO Engineered Coatings is a coating applicator and not a supplier of coatings.

  1. How long does it take to get my part(s) back?

Generally, our turnaround time is five to seven BUSINESS DAYS. We are open Monday through Friday between 7AM – 5PM. The estimated turnaround starts the day after your part(s) arrive.

  1. How can I get a quote? Can I just walk in to get a quote?

There are a number of resources you can use to obtain a quote for your job. We have methods ranging from our social networks, website chat, and simply filling out our “request for quote” form online. You may also stop by one of our facilities during business hours, or call us at 1-800-336-KECO. The KECO Team will be more than happy to assist you in any way.

  1. What colors do you have?

Perhaps a better question is – “what colors DON’T we have?” While we may have to order custom colors, we can almost guarantee that we will be able to match any request you may have.

  1. Can I get a warranty on my coating job?

No. We do not offer warranties on anything we coat. This is due to the fact that we are unable to control how the items are treated after they leave our facility. However, we are AAMA 2605 Certified – and our venders do offer a warranty.

  1. Can you remove/coat over chrome?

KECO Engineered Coatings does not have the ability to remove chrome. However, feel free to speak with a KECO associate and they will get you in touch with a partner who can assist you.

KECO Engineered Coatings is unable to coat over chrome due to the fact that the coating will chip off over time. This is caused by the coating’s lack of direct adhesion to the substrate.

  1. Am I able to supply my own powder or material for use on my project?

We prefer to get our powder directly from our vender in order to prevent the chance of contamination. However, if supplying your own material is something you’re interested in, speak with an associate at KECO to determine how we could accommodate your request.

  1. Can I just stop by to get something coated?

Definitely. If you have a coating application, feel free to drop by and speak with a KECO associate.

  1. Do you have a minimum charge?

Yes. Get in touch with a KECO associate to get the best idea on what your minimum charge may be. Call, post, email, tweet, or chat with us and we can let you know exact pricing.

  1. Can you apply the coatings on-site?

Industrial applications require us to bake coatings on at a range of temperatures. Therefore, applying coatings on-site is not feasible.
